    The Stone Mountain Memorial Half Dollar was released in 1925 to commemorate the effort to carve the Stone Mountain Memorial in Georgia and to raise funds for the memorial.

    The reverse features an eagle, representing liberty, poised on a mountain crag with stars dimly visible in the background.
