Oscilloscope Mode
AUTOOL BT280 circuit tester supports sampling interval setting. The supported voltage test range is: 1V~100V. Function button "START/STOP" (press "OK" to start or stop waveform refresh); "DIV", the test range of each grid voltage is 1V-100V. Press the "UP" and "DOWN" keys to adjust the voltage value with one key.
Multimeter mode
This digital display intelligent multimeter can meet all the functions of the vehicle multimeter [DC voltage (VDC), resistance (OHM), diode / on/off test (DIO), current (AMP), frequency (HZ)], as well as continuous testing of circuits or components of the vehicle circuit system, which brings great convenience to the user.

Component activation

Relay test
The AUTOOL BT280 circuit tester can perform the continuity test of the 5-terminal relay and the 4-terminal relay through the matching special test terminal.
Provide 0-5V power supply
The 0-5V power supply mode of AUTOOL BT280 is designed as active mode, but the function is different from the component activation mode. The tool can regulate the voltage output below 5V and limit the current below 100mA. (This is a safe range of current and voltage to avoid burning out electronic components).

Signal Circuit Testing
Use this circuit tester to test your sensor and easily determine if there is a problem with your MAP sensor circuit.
Observe the LCD readings, which should be a sine wave under normal circumstances. If the LCD readings abnormally, there is a problem with this sensor.
Checking for Bad Ground Contacts
Probe the ground wire or contacts with the probe tip of the automotive circuit tester.
If the green LED is off and the red LED is on, this is not true ground. If the circuit breaker tripped, the circuit is most than likely a good ground.
NOTE
: Starting high current components such as motors can also trip the circuit breaker.
Following & Locating Short Circuits
In most cases, a short circuit occurs if a fuse or a fusible link blows or an electrical protection device (circuit breaker) trips.

Clear guidance of indicator light

Continuity test
AUTOOL BT160 circuit tester can carry out continuity test. Test Procedure: Unfold the tool's cable and connect the red clip to the positive end of the vehicle battery and the black clip to the negative end of the vehicle battery; connect the auxiliary ground wire to one side of the test lead and the probe tip to the other side.f there is continuity in the vehicle circuit, the LED will glow green. If the LED does not glow, there is no continuity.
Check for poor ground contact
Test procedure: unfold the cable, connect the red clip to the positive end of the vehicle battery and the black clip to the negative end of the vehicle battery; press the button to the "-" side, the LED should glow red and provide positive voltage; then quickly get the probe tip as close as possible to the negative end of the component, at this point, the LED turns green and the buzzer sounds. This indicates a good ground. In case the ground is poor, the LED remains red and the buzzer fails to sound.
