Starter plate provides an original mounting style for 265 Chevy V8 that has no mounting provision.
Engine starter plate is a must have when upgrading to a late model GM transmission that never had a starter mount. (ex. TH350, TH400, 2004R, 700R4)
Can be used in 1957 models that have broken starter mounts. Will require a 1955-1956 style starter.
