From an original low mintage of 6,006 coins this year and the following 1939 issue was sold in 3 coin PDS sets. This CAC gem example has light gold toning with a few darker russet flecks. The surfaces show minimal abrasions and the luster is quite nice. Low mintage commemoratives, particularly of popular designs such as the Oregon seem like such a long-term bargain, when comparing them to something like the 2020 V75 privy mark Silver Eagle with a mintage of 75,000, more then 12x and selling in the average grade of 69 at the same price. One day classic commemoratives will move upwards from these current levels.
