Vintage 1950s Faux Pearl Beads Rhinestone Hand Beaded Ivory White Cardigan

Description

This is a vintage 1950's ivory white cardigan sweater, family estate owned in good condition. Sweater has no labels. It has exquisite tiny white beads, pearls and clear beads along with 2 large rhinestones and 4 smaller rhinestones as seen in photo. Buttons are faux shell. neck, bottom and sleeve have some ribbing. Unknown material. It is soft, possibly an angora blend, not sure. In overall very nice condition. The fancy beading work is hand done and the inside has loose thread ends which I did NOT cut off. All the beads are secure and I did not want to hazard any getting loose. There is an are of tiny faint green specks (see close up photo 4 and 8) which I believe are from the metal which encases the large rhinestones as the metal has oxidized over the years. So sweater was folded  away in a tote and the area beneath 1st button touched one of the rhinestone metal prong setting.  There are also 2 small faint age spots. One is inside below 2nd button  (see photo 5) and the other is to the left of the 3rd button past the beading, it is too faint to see in photos, but maybe if blown up it can be seen.  Clean and from smoke free home, Mailing is by first class mail polybag. Measurements taken across the front with cardigan flat. It is soft and has the ability to have a little stretch.
