Vintage Sun Automotive Electrical Tester Model VAT SX-224 - Like VAT-40 - LOOK!

You are welcome to BIN or make a reasonable offer on this vintage Sun tester model VAT SX-224. Included is the original "Quick Reference Guide" and Sun "Portable Test Stand" (cart not included) - Look at the pictures carefully - Cosmetically, it is in very good shape for its age - All cables and clamps are original and appear to be in decent shape with limited wear and tear. There are some light scratches but no rust or indications of rough handling, repairs or abuse - Gauge faces only slightly faded. I did hook it up briefly and the volt gauge, load light and pile seem to function, but the amp gauge doesn't seem to be working. I took a quick look inside and was surprised how clean it was (see last pic) and used a multimeter to verify that there seems to be no continuity between the two amp meter connections - something isn't right so I'm selling "For parts or not working" to someone willing to take this project on (I already have a functioning VAT-40). The VAT SX-224 is like the VAT-33 and VAT-40 in that it has the green inductive lead - Earlier Sun testers (ie. VAT 20/28)
required disconnecting cables or
used an awkward mechanical accessory switch. Functions include battery, starter, and charging system testing.
